The Sun Hotel project stands as the most technically sophisticated and largest single spherical curtain wall project undertaken by our company to date. Upon the completion of the main exterior facade works, the project successfully passed the water drenching test. It has pioneered the application of a domestic super-large spherical integrated waterproof and drainage unitized glass curtain wall system, breaking through the industry challenges of balanced force distribution in large spherical lattice shell structures and efficient drainage for building exterior facades.

Challenge 1: Spatially Distorted Unit Panels

Xintury's Solution

We optimized the unit panel structure and developed custom molds for triangular and rhombus-shaped products, including a dedicated triangular electric window system. Meanwhile, we solved the technical problem of multi-angle simultaneous opening and closing for the upper and lower parts of triangular windows.

Challenge 2: Spherical Dome Structure

Xintury's Solution

We tailor-optimized the system design based on the dome structure and the force-bearing characteristics of the irregular lattice shell. The composed box-shaped components feature a section thickness of only 8mm, with a total weight of 246 tons and a maximum span of 58.8 meters.

Challenge 3: Irregularly Curved Podium Streamers

Xintury's Solution

We implemented dynamic positioning construction by synchronizing the irregular design with construction auxiliary measures.

High-Precision Production Ensures Capacity

The hotel’s exterior is composed of more than 14,000 glass panels combined with 2,258 unit panels, with the dimensional tolerance of aluminum profiles and glass strictly controlled within 1mm for high-precision finishing. Xintury adopted Emmegi 5-axis machining centers, which boast an intelligent CNC positioning accuracy of 0.01mm. These centers enable more efficient and rapid production of door, window and curtain wall products with complex shapes, high precision, large batches and diverse varieties.
